As the ambassador programme completes I may finally be getting the hang of this networking lark having come away from the reception on Tuesday with some really useful contacts.
It was a great evening and I’m only sorry I had to dash back to Leeds on the last train and couldn’t join my fellow ambassadors for a celebratory drink. It's been a weird and wonderful week with women at its heart.
On Tuesday I made a presentation to the Department of Business Innovation and Skills with Kresse Wesling the wonder woman who specializes in using waste materials to make lovely things. Her current products include high-end Elvis & Kresse handbags, made from reclaimed fire brigade hoses and jute supermarket bags made from coffee sacks.

While his sounds like a kind of NLP based dating game for the over-educated, it was in fact a gathering in London last night of a small number of leading civil servants, business people and social entrepreneurs.
