The furore over the Facebook page set up for Raul Moat and the media frenzy it generated reminded me of many similar problems we faced at Cybermoor a few years ago, before Facebook had even been invented.  Our open discussion forums generated lots of comment from the community on issues affecting their everyday lives and in a tight knit community, some of these topics strayed into areas which were rather unsavoury. Last Monday I treated myself to a Moody Baker Steak and Wolf Ale pie.  The Moody Baker is a worker co-op bakery in Alston, located just up the road from the Cybermoor offices.  Both organisations started out in 2003, with Cybermoor supplying broadband and the Moody Bakers supplying wholemeal loaves to the residents of Alston Moor.  The community has 8 social enterprises already – from a community owned railway to a craft workers co-op, and this culture of working together for ...
